So, you're heading to Gov Ball 2022 and you're probably wondering what you can and can't bring with you, right? I mean, who doesn't love a good festival, but security is a top priority, and that includes what's in your bag. It's like trying to pack for a weekend getaway, but instead of worrying about forgetting your toothbrush, you're worried about getting your bag checked at the gate.
The Lowdown
is that Gov Ball has a pretty straightforward bag policy in place. You're allowed to bring in clear bags made of plastic, vinyl, or PVC that are no larger than 12" x 6" x 12", which is basically the size of a small lunchbox. But, what's the deal with clear bags, anyway?Well, the idea behind clear bags is that they make it easy for security to see what's inside without having to rummage through your stuff, which is pretty convenient if you ask me. It's like having a see-through purse, but instead of showing off your fancy wallet, you're showing off your water bottle and snacks. And, let's be real, who doesn't love a good snack game at a festival?

But, what about prohibited items, you ask? Well, it's pretty much what you'd expect: no weapons, no drugs, and no outside food or drink (except for an empty water bottle, of course). It's like trying to sneak a pizza into the movies, but instead of getting kicked out, you'll just have to toss your contraband.
Now, you might be wondering, what about my phone and wallet? Don't worry, you're allowed to bring those in, but just make sure they're in a clear bag or a small clutch that fits within the size limits. It's like packing a mini survival kit, but instead of including a first-aid kit and a flashlight, you're including your phone charger and a portable charger (just in case).
