Iowa State Clear Bag Policy

So, you're heading to an Iowa State game and you're wondering what's up with the Clear Bag Policy. Well, let me tell you, it's not just a fancy new fashion trend, it's actually a rule to keep everyone safe and secure. And, trust me, you don't want to be that guy who gets turned away at the gate because of a prohibited purse!

The policy is pretty straightforward: all bags must be clear and made of plastic, vinyl, or PVC, and they can't be bigger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches. That means you'll have to ditch the designer handbag or backpack and opt for a clear bag instead. But don't worry, you can still show off your Cyclone spirit with a clear bag that's decked out in Iowa State gear!

Why the Clear Bag Policy?

The main reason for the Clear Bag Policy is to improve security at Iowa State events. By knowing exactly what's in each bag, security personnel can do their job more efficiently and keep everyone safe. It's like when you're trying to sneak a snack into the movies - the ushers can see right through your tricks (or in this case, your bag)!

But, let's get real, the Clear Bag Policy also has some perks for fans. For one, it should make getting into the stadium a whole lot faster. No more waiting in line while security checks every single bag - with clear bags, it's a quick glance and you're good to go! And, as an added bonus, you might just find yourself buying a few less unnecessary souvenirs since you won't have as much space in your bag.

Now, you might be thinking, "But what about my wallet, phone, and snacks?" Don't worry, you can still bring all those essentials - they just need to be in a clear bag or a small clutch that fits within the approved size limits. And, if you're feeling extra stylish, you can even rock a clear fanny pack (just don't forget to pack your sense of humor)!

It's worth noting that the Clear Bag Policy is not unique to Iowa State - lots of other schools and venues have similar rules in place. In fact, the NFL has had a clear bag policy for years, and it's been a huge success. So, while it might take some getting used to, it's definitely a change for the better.
