Lindsay Clancy Kids Photos And Memories Shared During Murder Trial

Throughout the trial, jurors and the public saw family photos, heard vivid memories, and learned about the everyday lives of Cora, Dawson, and Callan Clancy.

Early in the trial, prosecutors and the defense introduced a series of family photographs to help paint a picture of life inside the Clancy household before the tragic events of January 24, 2023. These images showed Lindsay and Patrick Clancy with their three children—Cora, Dawson, and Callan—during holidays, outings, and ordinary moments at home.

Among the most poignant were photos taken just hours before the killings. One image showed Cora and Dawson building a snowman in the yard of their Duxbury, Massachusetts home, a scene captured by their mother on the same day she later allegedly strangled them. Another photograph displayed Cora at a doctor’s visit on January 24, 2023, also taken by Lindsay Clancy earlier that day.

Additional photos shown to the jury included:

  • Lindsay with infant Callan, highlighting the close bond between mother and youngest child.
  • Dawson at age 3, depicted as an energetic toddler with a bright smile.
  • Cora at 5 years old, often shown in playful or celebratory settings.
  • Family portraits from late 2022, showing the four of them together during what appeared to be happier times.

Who Were Cora, Dawson, and Callan?

As the trial progressed, witnesses—including Patrick Clancy, family friends, and the children’s nanny—shared detailed memories of each child’s personality, interests, and daily routines. [25][27] Their testimony helped transform the victims from names in charging documents into real, living children with distinct identities.

Cora Marie Clancy – “A Girly Girl” Who Loved Princesses

Cora Marie Clancy was born on December 24, 2017, and was 5 years old at the time of her death. Witnesses described her as a “girly girl” who enjoyed arts and crafts, playing with dolls, and pretending to run her own “Fresh Mart” child supermarket play set

Patrick Clancy testified that Cora was into princesses and had many friends. “She just liked taking care of people,” he told the court. [25] On her 4th birthday, Lindsay Clancy posted on social media that her daughter was growing into “the most perfect version of herself” and called her “the sweetest gift God ever gave me.”

A short birthday video shown during the trial captured Cora wearing a pink crown while other children sang “Happy Birthday” at a party at Nova Trampoline Park in Plymouth in early January 2023, just weeks before her death.

Dawson William Clancy – “Rambunctious, Funny, Silly”

Dawson William Clancy was born on September 30, 2019, and died just after his third birthday. He was described as a high-energy boy who loved firefighters, trucks, and the children’s TV series “Paw Patrol,” which follows a team of search-and-rescue dogs.

The family’s nanny, Elaine Rossi, remembered Dawson as “rambunctious, funny, silly.” On his final day, he played outside in the snow, building a snowman with his sister Cora. [25][29] Patrick Clancy recalled seeing Dawson on the couch eating chicken nuggets and green beans shortly before he left the house for an errand on the evening of January 24, 2023.

Callan Patrick Clancy – “The Happiest, Sweetest, Easiest Baby”

Callan Patrick Clancy, the youngest, was born on May 26, 2022, and was only 8 months old when he died. [25][34] Rossi described him as “the happiest, sweetest, easiest baby. He was just a love.” Patrick Clancy echoed that sentiment, calling Callan “just a happy baby.”

Unlike his older siblings, Callan survived for three days after the attack before dying in a hospital on January 27, 2023. Prosecutors allege that Lindsay Clancy attempted to kill him by strangulation along with Cora and Dawson before trying to take her own life by jumping from a second-floor window.

Emotional Moments in Court

The presentation of photos and memories was often deeply emotional for everyone in the courtroom. During one particularly difficult session, Lindsay Clancy sobbed uncontrollably as jurors viewed autopsy photos of Callan, prompting the judge to call an unscheduled break.

Patrick Clancy, testifying as the prosecution’s first witness, was asked to describe each of his three children while family photos were displayed on a screen behind him. [29][35] His voice reportedly shook at times as he spoke about their personalities and the last moments he shared with them.

The trial has captured the nation not only because of the thorny questions about criminal responsibility and mental health treatment it has highlighted, but also because of the painful human story at the heart of the case: that three little children were killed by one of the people most responsible for their care.

Memories Beyond the Courtroom

Outside the courthouse, friends, neighbors, and members of the community also shared memories and tributes to Cora, Dawson, and Callan. These included recollections of family trips to Cape Cod and visits to Boston’s Museum of Science, painting a broader picture of a family that, at least outwardly, enjoyed many of the same experiences as other young families in the area.

For many following the case, the combination of family photographs, vivid witness testimony, and heartbreaking details about the children’s short lives has made the trial not just a legal proceeding, but a public reckoning with the loss of three very young lives.
