Multiple Authors In Mla

So, you're writing a paper and you need to cite multiple authors in MLA style - no big deal, right? It's actually pretty cool once you get the hang of it. You'll be a pro at formatting your bibliography in no time!

Let's start with the basics: when you have two authors, you separate their names with "and" - easy peasy. But, when you have three or more authors, you use commas to separate the names and "and" before the last author - got it? It's like a fun little game of author-tag!

The Rules

So, what are the rules for citing multiple authors in MLA? Well, for starters, you need to list all the authors in the order they appear on the title page - makes sense, right? And, if you have more than three authors, you can use the "et al." shortcut - but only in certain situations!

But, here's the thing: MLA style can be a bit tricky - even for the most seasoned writers. Like, did you know that if you have two authors with the same last name, you need to include their first initials to avoid confusion? Yeah, it's crazy!

And, what about corporate authors - like, when a company or organization is the author? You'd use the company name as the author, of course - but what if the company name is really long? You can abbreviate it, but only if you include the full name in the Works Cited list - phew!
